At our school, we foster a caring and supportive environment where respect, kindness, and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do. Every individual is valued, and every voice matters. We are committed to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing for all our pupils and staff.
Our approach combines whole-school initiatives that nurture a culture of wellbeing with targeted support for those who need it most. Through this dual focus, we strive to create a safe and nurturing space where everyone can thrive—emotionally, socially, and academically.

Our Whole School Approach to Mental Health
At our school, we are committed to promoting positive mental health and supporting the wellbeing of every child. Our whole-school approach focuses on building resilience, happiness, and success, while aiming to prevent mental health challenges before they arise.
Our staff work together to create a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where mental health is prioritised and embedded across the curriculum.
We also focus on equipping pupils with the knowledge, skills, and understanding they need to look after both their physical and mental wellbeing. This forms a key part of our PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic) education.
Lessons are tailored to the needs of each year group, with an emphasis on developing skills such as understanding emotions, communicating effectively, and building confidence. Pupils are encouraged and empowered to seek help for themselves or others when needed. This is delivered through PSHE, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE), and our ongoing Anti-Bullying initiatives.
